We are small but mighty. While TAILS is mainly an equine rescue, we have taken in a few dogs and cats at various times and most have become part of our families. Some of our horses are sanctuary horses who have usually been neglected and/or abused, can’t be ridden, have health issues or are just living out their later years in peace & safety ~ allowed to just be horses. Some are available for adoption as companions. Lastly, others that can be ridden are evaluated, trained and made ready for their new person to come love them and adopt them!
We do evaluate new homes before we agree to adopt a horse. There are requirements that must be met, but they are not unreasonable. This is done for the safety of the prospective owners & the horse. Depending on our ‘numbers’ we sometimes need foster homes for horses. If you are interested in adopting or fostering please contact us for more information.

We are fortunate to have Cera Davidson chose TAILS Rescue as one of the recipients of donations from her 2200+ mile ride from AZ to WI! Visit her at The Ride of Passage or her FaceBook Page for more info & pictures. There is an equine fund raiser kick off event March 8 & 9 at the Yavapai. Along with TAILS, The Ride Of Passage will generate funds for Make A Wish Foundation.
We would like to thank all the people who have volunteered to help with this project. There’s lots more information at TheRideOfPassage.com
